Breakfast Ball (“the app”) is a golf scorecard and side-games app published by Strategy Labs AI, LLC (“we,” “us”). These Terms are the agreement between you and us. By downloading or using the app — and again when you sign in, where the app records your acceptance — you agree to them. If you don’t agree, don’t use the app. Our Privacy Policy explains what data the app handles and is part of the deal.
The service
Breakfast Ball keeps golf scorecards, runs side games, measures GPS yardages, tracks shots, and syncs with an optional Apple Watch app. It’s free, with no ads and no subscription. We work hard to keep it running, but it’s provided without a promise of uninterrupted availability — features (especially cloud ones) may change, pause, or retire as the app evolves.
Accounts
No account is required — the app works fully on-device. Signing in with Apple or Google is optional and turns on cloud backup & sync. You’re responsible for the credentials you sign in with and for what happens under your account. Keep your account information accurate; one account per human, please. You can delete your account and every server-side record at any time in Settings → Delete Account & All Data.
Your content
Your rounds, scores, shots, courses, profile, and everything else you put into the app are yours. You give us only the limited license we need to operate the service: hosting, backing up, and transmitting that content — to your own devices, and to the players you choose to share a round with. We claim no other rights to it, and the license ends when you delete the content or your account.
Fair play (acceptable use)
- Don’t break, probe, or overload the service, or access another person’s data.
- Don’t impersonate someone else or misuse friend links and round invites.
- Don’t use offensive display names or avatars — other players see them.
- Don’t scrape, resell, or build a competing dataset from our backend.
- Don’t use the app where or in a way the law forbids.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
Side games & wagers
The app keeps score of side games — including games your group plays for money — as a tally, not a wallet. Breakfast Ball does not process payments, hold stakes, facilitate gambling, or take a cut. Whether and how your group settles up is entirely between you, and you’re responsible for making sure your games comply with the laws where you play. We are not a party to, and have no liability for, any bet.
GPS, yardages & the voice caddie
Yardages, shot detection, course geometry, weather, and the AI voice caddie are informational aids. GPS drifts, course data can be wrong or stale, and the caddie — an AI — can be confidently mistaken. None of it is professional advice; club selection and every swing remain your call, and the app is no authority on the Rules of Golf. Don’t rely on the app for navigation or safety.
Health & fitness
Workout, heart-rate, and step features record your activity for your own interest. They are not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Talk to a doctor before relying on any fitness data, and stop playing if something feels wrong.
Third-party services
Some features use third-party services (maps, weather, course data, sign-in providers, AI transcription — listed in the Privacy Policy), each governed by its own terms. If you paste your own API keys into Settings, you’re responsible for complying with those providers’ terms.
Ending things
You can stop using the app, sign out, or delete your account and all data in-app at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violating these Terms, and may discontinue the service with reasonable notice where practical. Sections that by their nature should survive (your content ownership, disclaimers, liability limits) survive.
Disclaimers & limits on liability
The app is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Strategy Labs AI, LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost data, lost wagers, or lost glory — and our total liability for any claim relating to the app is capped at US $50. Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
App Store terms
The app is distributed through Apple’s App Store. These Terms are between you and us — not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support, has no warranty obligation beyond refunding the purchase price (the app is free), and isn’t responsible for handling claims relating to the app, including product liability, regulatory, or IP claims. You confirm you’re not in a U.S.-embargoed country or on a U.S. government restricted-party list. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. Apple’s standard Licensed Application EULA applies where these Terms are silent.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new effective date, and continuing to use the app after that date means you accept them.
